Current Information:Enlisted-Edward Street Khartoum War Cemetery, Sudan
In December, 1914, the 2/3rd London battalion left England and sailed to Malta, where they relieved the 1/3rd battalion. In April 1915 they moved to Egypt before going on to garrison Khartoum in Sudan. It was while they were here that William Manning died from unknown causes on 29th June, 1915. |
